INFOmatch International User Group Meeting and Screen Markets event – Amsterdam 2014.

AMSTERDAM, September 30, 2014 – On September 29, The INFOmatch User Group Meeting again took place, which was very well attended with over 40 clients from The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and United Kingdom. The modern Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, with a spectacular view over the city and river IJ, served as brand new venue for this event.

The objectives of these user group meetings are to update users about new developments & functionalities, future plans and industry trends regarding market data management. In addition it is an excellent platform creating direct interaction and exchange of information between clients and Screen staff. It allows customers a perfect forum in which to express their requirements and give a wish list for new functionality, interfaces and reports.

The meeting kicked off with an interactive workshop, which is primarily targeted at people using INFOmatch in supporting their daily tasks managing market data. The workshop was fully booked and we even had to schedule an additional session, which again shows that Screen INFOmatch serves a very lively and inquisitive user community. The workshop’s theme was defined as “Tips & tricks on how to optimise your daily processes in INFOmatch”.

The second part of the meeting was reserved to present and discuss the upcoming new INFOmatch release, in particular new functionality related to cost & contract management, invoice processing, vendor based budgeting, Bloomberg Data License (including EOD request optimisation) & Bloomberg EMRS management and demand management through INFOmatch Enterprise Control.

After a short break the session was continued with a guest speaker presentation from Alan Bronowicz, Global Business Process Lead at Thomson Reuters, about ‘The Future of Administration with Thomson Reuters’. Alan updated the audience about Thomson Reuters’ intention to transform the purchasing experience for its customers in 2014 and 2015. After this the meeting was continued with a presentation on how to manage other market data spend categories, beyond the traditional market data, in INFOmatch. It showed how to use INFOmatch as a ‘golden source’ to have a better grip on procurement, cost, allocations and data management in general.

The last item on the agenda was a Screen staff moderated user group discussion, in which small groups of customers from different institutions discussed several suggestions for product enhancements and new developments. It again created a lot of lively interaction and exchange of information between other clients and Screen staff.

The meeting was closed with informal drinks and a canal cruise through the city centre of Amsterdam in the evening. In the end, it was a very fruitful and interactive day. We received lots of valuable feedback and input, which will be used by us to prioritise and detail our future software development path, support and service offering.

The next day, September 30, the Screen Group was also present at ‘Screen Markets – Amsterdam 2014’, which already was the 22nd products and services event for the European professional financial services community. The Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ was selected to act as a fresh new venue at a unique location for this one-day event. The Screen Group booth was well visited by customers, business relations and passers-by that were curious to learn more about Screen’s in-house developed cost & contract management system, INFOmatch. Furthermore, they showed a serious interest in Screen’s leading consultancy practice dealing with market & reference data and investment management advisory services.

Central theme of this year’s event was defined as “Building the next generation of Financial Information Services; content, connectivity and compliance”. The event turned out to be a perfect platform to learn more about the latest trends in technology for the professional investment industry. In addition to this it again provided excellent networking and B2B opportunities.
