INFOmatch international User Group Meeting and Screen Event Amsterdam 2011

AMSTERDAM, October 2, 2011 – On September 28, INFOmatch’s International User Group Meeting again took place, which was very well attended with over 20 clients from The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, France, Sweden and Switzerland. The NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam served as the event’s venue.

The objectives of these User Group meetings are to update users about new developments and functionalities and future plans. In addition it is an excellent platform creating direct interaction between users and development. Customers are able to express their requirements and wish list regarding new functionality, interfaces and reports.

The morning started with 2 newly introduced interactive workshops, which are primarily targeted at people using INFOmatch in supporting their daily tasks managing market data. Both workshops were fully booked, which again shows that INFOmatch serves a very lively and inquisitive user community. Themes of the workshops were defined as “Create more transparency by using Timeline & Accrual Reporting” and “Straight Through Processing in INFOmatch (Invoice Reconciliation & General Ledger)”.

The beginning of the afternoon was reserved to present and discuss the upcoming new INFOmatch release, in particular new functionality related to compliance, reporting and cost allocating. After a short break the session was continued with interactive user group discussions and the filling out of client surveys. The meeting was closed with informal drinks & dinner in the evening. It was a very fruitful and interactive day. We received lots of valuable feedback and input, which will be used by us to prioritise and detail our future software development path, support and service offering.

The next day, September 29, the Screen Group was also present at the Screen Event Amsterdam 2011, which already was the 19th products and services event for the European professional financial services community. Like every year, the event – having 55 exhibitors and sponsors and around 450 visitors – turned out being a big success again. The Screen Group booth was well visited by customers, business relations and passers-by that were curious to learn more about Screen’s in-house developed cost & contract management system, INFOmatch, and its latest features related to invoice reconciliation, accrual and timeline reporting, budgeting and compliance. Furthermore, they showed a serious interest in Screen’s leading consultancy practice dealing with market & reference data and investment management advisory services.

Central theme of this year’s event was defined as “Re-sourcing Financial Information Services”. Highlights of the day included two panel discussions involving business executives from vendor organizations as well as experts from user organizations, who reviewed last year’s global financial developments, analyzed the various directions that businesses are considering, and discussed the implications for the market data management function, both from a commercial (sourcing) and technical (infrastructure) perspective.

The one-day event turned out to be a perfect platform to learn more about the latest trends in technology for the professional investment industry. In addition to this it again provided excellent networking and B2B opportunities.
