INFOmatch International User Group Meeting and Screen Event Amsterdam 2013

AMSTERDAM, September 27, 2013 – On September 25, INFOmatch’s International User Group Meeting again took place, which was very well attended with over 30 clients from The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and United Kingdom. The luxurious 5-star hotel NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam served as the event’s venue.

The objectives of these User Group meetings are to update users about new developments & functionalities, future plans and industry trends. In addition it is an excellent platform creating direct interaction and exchange of information between clients and Screen staff. It allows customers a perfect forum in which to express their requirements and give a wish list for new functionality, interfaces and reports.

The meeting kicked off with an interactive workshop, which is primarily targeted at people using INFOmatch in supporting their daily tasks managing market data. The workshop was fully booked, which again shows that INFOmatch serves a very lively and inquisitive user community. The workshop dealt with one of INFOmatch’s newest interfaces, and the theme was defined as “User Defined Interface for Entitlements: Learn how to create and use your own set of interfaces to automatically import entitlement and allocation files, for any vendor of your choice”.

The second part of the meeting was reserved to present and discuss the upcoming new INFOmatch release, in particular new functionality related to order management, interfacing, archiving, and managing other data & fees, besides the traditional market data, in INFOmatch. After this Antoine Meyer from Crédit Agricole CIB shared his experience on how INFOmatch Enterprise Control is helping him to optimise Crédit Agricole CIB’s order management workflow.

After a short break the session was continued with a guest speaker presentation from Tristan Dehaan, FISD’s CCG co-chair and CRISP project manager, about ‘CRISP’ (‘Contracts which are Readable, Intuitive, Standardised and Precise’). Tristan updated the audience about FISD’s initiative to improve standardisation of the language and format used in data contracts in order to solve different interpretations by end-user firms, data vendors and exchanges. The purpose of this project is to develop a tool to assist end-user firms with communication of contract terms & conditions and in general promote compliance.

The last item on the agenda was a Screen staff moderated user group discussion, in which small groups of customers from different institutions discussed several suggestions for product enhancements and new developments. It again created a lot of lively interaction and exchange of information between other clients and Screen staff. The meeting was closed with informal drinks & dinner in the evening. In the end, it was a very fruitful and interactive day. We received lots of valuable feedback and input, which will be used by us to prioritise and detail our future software development path, support and service offering.

The next day, September 26, the Screen Group was also present at the Screen Event Amsterdam 2013, which already was the 21st products and services event for the European professional financial services community. The Screen Group booth was well visited by customers, business relations and passers-by that were curious to learn more about Screen’s in-house developed cost & contract management system, INFOmatch. Furthermore, they showed a serious interest in Screen’s leading consultancy practice dealing with market & reference data and investment management advisory services.

Central theme of this year’s event was defined as “Sourcing financial information services in increasingly regulated markets”. The one-day event turned out to be a perfect platform to learn more about the latest trends in technology for the professional investment industry. In addition to this it again provided excellent networking and B2B opportunities.
