Screen opens up new INFOmatch version to consumers

AMSTERDAM, January 6, 2013 – Screen INFOmatch rolled out the 2012 edition of its INFOmatch data inventory and cost management tool. Key among the new features is a demand management module dubbed Enterprise Control, which provides data consumers with access to their profile, what data they are authorized to view, and the cost of the data they consume. For heads of desks and cost-center managers to monitor costs, approve purchases, and determine which types of purchases are routed to whom for approval. The module includes a series of heatmaps for displaying costs by groups or product types that can be defined by user firms, as a way of quickly and visually identifying inefficiencies within an organization, and a chat feature that connects data consumers directly with their firm’s market data team.

The new version also includes location fields, so users can denote whether a dataset has been licensed for use only in a specific desk, city, country or region, and where content is physically located within an organization. In fact, the new version includes features specifically tailored to using INFOmatch to manage index data, including lists of indexes and families, and the ability to filter information in the system by index name, or by all types of data relevant to an index license.

In addition, the new release includes an User Defined Interface for Entitlements that makes it easy for clients to create interfaces between INFOmatch and different files of data, such as cost data, permissioning or allocation files, initially only covering Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
